VOLUNTEER POLICY

Students Wellbeing Foundation of India (SWFOI)

 

1. Purpose of Volunteering

Volunteering with Students Wellbeing Foundation of India (SWFOI) allows individuals to contribute time skills and effort towards student wellbeing safety awareness community support and empowerment initiatives.

Volunteering is voluntary and does not create any employment partnership or legal obligation.

2. Eligibility

To apply as a volunteer

• Volunteers must be fifteen years of age or above
• Volunteers must provide accurate information and required documents
• Volunteers must comply with verification and safeguarding requirements

SWFOI reserves the right to verify age identity and background at any stage.

3. Volunteer Application and Approval

• Submission of a volunteer application does not guarantee acceptance
• Approval is subject to internal review verification and organisational requirements
• SWFOI may accept reject suspend or terminate a volunteer application without assigning any reason

The decision of SWFOI shall be final and binding.

4. Nature of Volunteering

Volunteers support SWFOI activities on a best effort basis.

• Volunteering does not guarantee any specific role duration or benefits
• Tasks may vary depending on availability and organisational needs
• Volunteering does not create any right to employment remuneration or future placement

SWFOI may assign modify or withdraw volunteer roles at its discretion.

5. Conduct and Responsibilities

Volunteers are expected to

• Act respectfully responsibly and ethically
• Follow all SWFOI policies and instructions
• Maintain confidentiality of student and organisational information
• Avoid misuse of SWFOI name logo identity or platforms
• Refrain from any activity that could harm students or the organisation

Any misconduct may result in immediate removal.

6. Safeguarding and Safety

Volunteers must follow all safeguarding student protection and safety guidelines.

SWFOI provides guidance and coordination only.
SWFOI does not replace emergency medical legal or police authorities.

Volunteers must immediately report any safety concern to SWFOI leadership.

7. Volunteer Identification

• Volunteer identification may be issued at SWFOI discretion
• Issuance timelines are subject to verification and operational requirements

SWFOI is not liable for delays or non issuance where criteria are not met.

8. No Compensation

Volunteers are not entitled to

• Salary
• Wages
• Stipend
• Reimbursement unless explicitly approved in writing

Volunteering is unpaid unless otherwise stated by SWFOI.

9. Termination of Volunteering

SWFOI reserves the absolute right to

• Suspend or terminate volunteer participation at any time
• Withdraw access to platforms resources or activities
• Remove a volunteer without prior notice

No explanation or compensation is required.

​

10. No Rights or Claims

Volunteers shall not

• Claim employment status
• Claim decision making authority
• Represent SWFOI without authorisation
• Create obligations or liabilities on behalf of SWFOI

Association as a volunteer does not create any legal rights.

11. Limitation of Liability

SWFOI shall not be held liable for

• Personal loss injury or inconvenience during volunteering
• Actions of other volunteers members or third parties
• Outcomes of volunteer activities

Participation is at the volunteer’s own discretion and risk.

​

12. Policy Updates

SWFOI may revise this Volunteer Policy at any time without prior notice.
Continued association constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
